This book covers all the basics of maths - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, place value and percentages - in a very approachable and fun way. It also includes a section on using calculators, and maths games to play with friends or family to reinforce learning. Simple diagrams make the lively text easy to understand, and David Farris' fabulous cartoons add to the humour. The emphasis is on making children understand the maths they learn, not just follow set methods, and the teaching is reinforced by regular quizzes and exercises (with answers).

Usually, I do not like maths but I found this Book to be very interesting. This book has made hard topics like Division, Multiplication and other operations very easy & interesting. The examples in this book are given so well that I could understand them very easily. The methods given in this book are fabulous and it proves that maths is not at all boring, indeed it is very interesting. The characters mentioned in this book are very funny (especially Steven). This book has really proved very useful for renewing my interest in maths.
